Cognex In-Sight 7000: Extremely smart Cameras

Cognex expand their range of smart cameras by the new In-Sight 7000 series. According to Cognex this new series represents a revolution in machine vision.

Small, tough and very smart – this is how Cognex characterises the new In- Sight 7000 series cameras. Users of the new models can rely on the proven Cognex Tool library, delivering reliable results even at demanding vision applications. Thanks to all the other measuring, localisation and inspection tools alongside the flexible Cognex EasyBuilder environment incorporated into the In-Sight cameras, any inspection, defect detection, control, alignment and measuring application is easy to configure and install.

Reliable inspection of fast moving products

The In-Sight 7000 series comprises various models, all of them equipped with a rugged IP67 metal enclosure. Some models achieve recording speeds of more than 100 frames per second. Such a high frame rate ensures reliable inspection even of fast moving goods such as in filling or pharmaceutical production applications.

Contrary to many other imaging systems, smart In-Sight 7000 cameras feature the ability to directly supply and control lighting, rendering an external power supply superfluous. The system can communicate directly with virtually any PLC or robotics control using its three inputs and outputs. Management of multiple smart cameras by a host computer or HMI is possible as well, facilitating easy implementation and reducing costs. These performance features make the In-Sight 7000 models suitable for more applications than ever before.
